Look, my diaries alway suck. A few people are nice enough to read them. And I appreciate their stopping by.:)
But this is, IMHO, too important to be left to the likes of me.
I'm sure a lot of you have been following the story of Randy "Duke" Cunningham. Josh Marshall has been tracking it beautifully on his site.
Check out today's post, summarized below.
Josh points out the the group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) can't get a SINGLE Democrat in the House to file an ethics complaint against Cunningham. Apparently the Dems are abiding by a "truce" against filing ethics complaints.
Josh is right. That's pathetic.
I realize there are lots of Republican scandals out there. Jeez, there are so many who can keep track? And trying to hit them all is like trying to swat all the flies in a barnyard.
But for the love of God. If the Dems are ever going to hit back and have a chance in 06 they have to start going after these guys.
I'm not asking folks to recommend... I'm just hoping someone out there will pick this up and run with it.
Congressman Conyers, if you're out there... I know we've asked an awful lot of you, but how bout taking 5 minutes to fill out an ethics complaint on this corrupt bastard?
