Dear: The Note
Your news summary on Friday morning (The Note: 'Telling it Like It Is')reminded me of something I was sure I had heard before, but I couldn't quite remember what it was.
(Thinking. . . thinking. . . thinking. . .)
THE COMPLETE AND UTTER LAZINESS AND INEPTITUDE OF THE WASHINGTON CHATTERING CLASS !!!
Do your suspicions that the fact the President's top advisor decided to act like a cornered rat is more of a testament to Democrats inability to win the White House in 2004 than it is to the fact that the White House just engaged in an act of complete and utter desperation, tell you more about Democrats or about you?
Does lecturing liberals because a conservative tried to dredge up 4 yr old slander, instead of delving into the reason this prominent conservative had to resort to such a blatant act of divisiveness, tell you anything about the state of your "journalistic" skills (and the fact that more and more Americans are looking for alternate sources of news because the mainstream sources are so awful?)
Would you rather be known as the reporters who are allowed to attend Washington cocktail parties, or known as the reporters who investigated the facts of the Downing Street Minutes because they correctly surmised that the White House's growing desperation is due in no small part to the fact they know they are guilty?
If you have to indignantly assert that Democrats are at fault for the President's top advisor spitting on a large portion of America, from where does that mean you received your journalistic credentials?
If you smugly already "knew" that the President "used" 9/11 and the GWoT to distract the American people from the "real" issues in the last election -- and you think this is a reason to deride Democrats -- what does that tell you about your effectiveness in actually disseminating useful, truthful, and factual information to the American public, and why would you continue to report so lazily if you already "know" that the White House doesn't give a damn about this country and instead cares only about it's own political fortunes?
The American Fucking Public
