Riddle me this.
First, CIA Director Porter Gross says
we know where Osama is, but we can't go after him (never mind all that "dead or alive" crap)because...well, because of this:
"When you go to the question of dealing with sanctuaries in sovereign states, you're dealing with a problem of our sense of international obligation, fair play," Goss said. "We have to find a way to work in a conventional world in unconventional ways."
Then,
Dick Cheney tells us HE knows where Osama is. Not the "exact address" but pretty damn close.
Then, we get Musharraf saying
he's somewhere in the Afghanistan-Pakistan border.
Then, we get the US Ambassador Zalmay Khalilzad saying
he's not on the Afghanistan side.
But then, immediately, Pakistan's Interior Officer says
Osama is NOT in Pakistan.
Today, President Musharaff says
he has no idea where Osama is, and if anyone knows, to please drop him an email or fax or text message or something.
So Cheney knows. The CIA knows. He's not in Afghanistan. He's not in Pakistan. So what "sovereign nation" is Peter Gross so afraid about rummaging through?
Oh. That's right.
Mr. Bin Laden. Please report to Iran. You're due on stage. Mr. Bin Laden. Enter, stage right.
