If you want an example of George Walker Bush's astounding cluelessness- (or proof of his band of propogandists' belief that Americans are collectively the most gullible lot on Earth) then look no further than the statement:
"The war reached our shores on September the 11th, 2001"
Does he not remember the first World Trade Center bombing on February 26, 1993 ?
After all, that terrorist act, which killed 6 Americans, was for all intents perpetrated by the same "jihadists" who now comprise al Qaeda. Or is it all just part of the smokescreen Bush has been sending up since 9/11 to disguise his appaling (and ultimately lethal) lack of interest in the very real threat of terror before that date?
Anyway, count me as one very pissed off American that he can make such an outlandish statement. And I am sure victims of the USS Cole, African embassies, and Khobar towers, are pretty pissed off as well.
Add to this the fact that he is NEVER called on it, and I get even madder.
