Opposing
gay rights is not "moderate"
From
the Boston Globe: An effort that would
have legalized same-sex marriage in California
fell short in the state Assembly early yesterday
after a small group of moderate Democrats rebuffed
the measure.

The
Democrats who voted against extending marriage rights to
all are not "moderate." They little fucks. The
same is for the Republicans who voted against the rights.
Being on the morally wrong side of an issue as important
as civil marriage rights does not make a person "moderate." In
fact, opposing marriage rights is an extreme act. And it
should be called as such.
Once
again, the Democratic Party is failing gay and lesbian
Americans. It would matter less if the Democrats hadn't
pretended to be tolerant and supportive of the civil rights
of gays and lesbians. The Party establishment should be
demanding that Democrats who don't stand for basic principles
leave the Party. I'd rather know what the party stands
for, than see an illusion. If only 2% of "Democrats" in
office remain, we'd be better off. Then Americans of principle
could see how infested our government is of the spineless
and greedy little fucks who stand for nothing.
It pisses
me off that the Democratic Party doesn't take a strong,
principled stand on the value of civil tolerance. Extending
marriage to gays and lesbians is the right thing to do.
It's the only morally correct position to take. Letting
gays and lesbians get married is good for families, for
gay and lesbian couples and for communities. Fuck the "moderate" fucks
in the California Assembly.
