I attended a talk last night titled "Energizing the Democratic Party." I won't bore you with the details, certainly nothing anyone here wouldn't know already.
Is this where I'm supposed to write "More after the jump/fold/break?"
The evening's speaker, Geoffrey Hill, offered a pithy description for the polar opposite of progressive liberals: Fanaticos.
Hill explained that "fanatico" is an accronym of the three tenents of the current Republican party: Faithism, Nationalism, and Corporatism.
Try "fanaticos" out, it's fun! Howabout, "Bush is such a fanatico!", "The RNC is nothing but a bunch of fanaticos!", or "Rove's outing of Plame was clearly a fanaticostic action!"
I know that great minds think alike and there being so many great minds out in KosLand, it is likely that somebody else thought this up already during some late night bull and beer session. If that's the case, no need flame me 'kay? This is my first time so be gentle. Just enjoy being validated.
