NYT Just In: WH Phone Logs Missing on L'Affaire Plame

Short diary here, cause I'm so tired I can't keep my eyes open.  But I just spotted this in the NY Times, and it refers to Rove's two assistants/secretaries called before the Grand Jury on Friday.

There was no record of the call, the person who has been briefed said, because Mr. Cooper did not call Mr. Rove directly, but was transferred to his office from a White House switchboard.

If only direct-dialed calls are logged, with those transferred by the switchboard being off the logs, boy, does that leave a huge gap in recordkeeping.

Anybody know about "transferred" calls being of such insufficient import to not be logged?

Sounds fishy to me.
