We are all looking with horror, and wondering what we can do to help the people of New Orleans, Mobile, and the rest of the Gulf Coast, and I'm driven to say something that I thought I'd never say: SEND IN THE LAWYERS!!!
In addition to people being driven from their homes, they are being rendered destitute, and on October 15 of this year, their options to discharge debts through bankruptcy will be severely limited.
They will go from being refugees to debt slaves.
These people need to talk to bankruptcy lawyers now. There is only 45 days left.
Is anyone working on this? If not, who do we talk to in order to get this ball rolling, the ABA?
Is there a possibility for a bill getting through congress to offer the victims some relief?
One final note, to hell with those Dems who voted for the debt slavery bill.
