Where can I volunteer to go help Katrina victims?

Help! I saw a snippet on the news last night that the Red Cross is looking for volunteers to go help with disater relief and cleanup.

I can't bring their site up and haven't found any other contact info for volunteering.

I'm a US Army trained Combat Medic (91A) and I have a lot of experience in construction and small boat operation.

I want to get down there to help if I can. Anyone able to help me figure out how I can do that? Anyone else doing it?

I'm broke so I can't contribute money but I have skills and abilities which I think would be valuable.
