If posted already, I will delete. Some good news for the 2005 races.
First, New Jersey.
Strategic Vision has Senator Jon Corzine leading Doug Forrestor 47%-36%. Keep in mind, SV is a GOP firm, so it's probably a bit better for Corzine. This polls comes after one showing Corzine by 20%, so it at least confirms his lead is in double digits. Weird things have happened in election, especially NJ Governor's races, but safe to say the Senator will soon become NJ's top executive. On a side note, while I think Corzine has a solid record as senator, he seems more suited to governor, I think. He seems more like a hands-on executive.
Ok, the real nail biter this year. Rasmussen has Jerry Kilgore(R) by just 3% over Tim Kaine(D). So Kaine got a boost, maybe from the debate. Rasmussen notes that the Washington Times, not the Post, noted that people who actually saw the debate perceived Kaine as the more "composed candidate."
Some other stuff from the poll:
Mark Warner's approval is at 70%.
The biggest issue for Va voters(in descending order): economy, healthcare, education, taxes. That strikes me as good news for Kaine. A couple of other polls noted that only a small percentage of voters strongly care about abortion or gay marriage.
