People have lost their jobs, homes, and lives in the Gulf Region. President Bush has been tasked with the duty of pretending he cares about them. But he slipped last night when he admitted, "[W]e will take the side of entrepreneurs as they lead the economic revival of the Gulf region."
This is where the Democrats can jump on them. We are on the side of everyone, including the people whose wage guarantees Bush eliminated. There will be money for rebuilding, but only the Democrats would make sure that money goes to people for the work that they've done.
Bush wants more money to go to Halliburton. We want it to go to the people who work to rebuild their lives.
