My dear uncle, Lowell Aitken, a member of the America's greatest generation passed away this evening. Lowell enlisted in the US Army right after Pearl Harbor, and fought bravely in several WWII Pacific landings as a teenager. He fought with distinction also in the Korean War and the Viet Nam War. He retired from the US Army 30 years ago as a lieutenant colonel and leaves his wonderful wife and my aunt, Patricia Aitken and several daughters and grandchildren He was a good husband and father and a man who fought for and defended his country with high honor. His remains will be interred at the Presidio in San Francisco, California.
Please light a candle for the passing of one of our best. May God bless you Uncle Lowell.
