We have seen Mayor Coleman trailing Congressman Strickland in most polls for the 2006 Ohio governor's race; I would if it might be good to encourage one of the two to run for the senate instead? I worry that Hackett cannot hack it (in fact, a future DeWine ad?)....he does not have enough experience. Coleman is also the mayor of a more politically moderate yet GOP-oriented region. What is keeping a stronger opponent to Sen. DeWine from running? Could it be that by 2006 the GOP damage might have diminished in that state or is it timidity on the part of the Dems? One observation: Ohio seems to be particularly punishing to candidates that lose, especially if there are Dems. Once you lose in this state, you significantly reduce your chances?
