Al Gore makes me proud to be an American, and I congratulate him for this award which he so richly deserves.
What can you say about such a man? A man who always puts the needs of others before his own aspirations? A man who has consistently been a voice of reason in a world gone mad? A man who inspires people to want to become involved and to care for their planet? You say, he is a man who deserves this award, and so many more.
I sometimes truly find it hard to post diaries about Al Gore, because I always cry doing so. I always think of what a truly better place this world would be if he were the President as he should be. However, I also think they are tears of gratitude as well, that he is still here making a difference in our world behind the scenes, rooting for us. And that gives me hope. Congratulations Mr. Gore, you are a great American.
