SurveyUSA has poll data out on people's views of Don Sherwood, the current Right Wing, Christian Conservative scandal ridden Republican Representative from the PA 10th. Some of this data is plain juicy - the campaign should be salivating, at the least, and the blogosphere needs to pay attention too.
More on the flip....
In a sampling of 535 voters, 4.3% margin for error, when asked if voters approved of Don Sherwood's job so far, only 53% said yes, and 38% said no. Not the best numbers for Carney, but so far nothing's really been done in the campaign at all - and certaintly that number is a bit soft. Even better is the fact that 27% of Republicans disapprove. The Independents are at 47-42 approve-disapprove.
Asked to give Sherwood a grade, only 13% gave him an A, while 9% gave an F, and 16% a D. Again, thes e polls are the first real polling data in the district in awhile, without Carney doing anything but declaring.
Not overwhelming numbers, but certaintly numbers that show Carney can make ground easily. He has the defense background to do that in this district, and combined with Bush numbers falling and more issues with the scandals happening, this could become an interesting race, real quick.
