Well, the White House isnt taking any chances with protestors for tomorrows rally... I just walked by the White House and Lafayette Park as I do everyday on my way to work and I am sorry to report that the area is blocked off with 4 foot high metal barricades. Right now, the full length of Pennsylvania Avenue in front of the White House, including the street and sidewalks, are blocked off! Pedestrian traffic near the White House perimeter is already being restricted and park service police are preparing to isolate sections of Lafayette Park with more metal barricades. If your protest route includes the White House, you may want to reconsider your plans! Feel free to post any location questions in comments section and please recommend for anyone planning to come to DC tomorrow.
Hey, if the USA Today knows about your guerilla protest, its not so guerilla...
"On Monday, anti-war activists will lobby members of Congress. Some will return to the White House for civil disobedience, attempting to block entrances, hang placards on the White House fence and illegally occupy the sidewalk along Pennsylvania Avenue. More than 250 people are willing to risk arrest, says Gordon Clark, coordinator of the Iraq Pledge of Resistance."(http://www.usatoday.com/news/washington/2005-09-22-protest-dc_x.htm)
To avoid trouble, I would advise citizens to becarefule around this mess on the north side of the White House. Patrol men and women on the White House beat don't mess around.
