Judy Miller's indefinite wait
By Daniel Schorr
WASHINGTON - Wearing a jumpsuit and working in the prison laundry, the most famous woman prisoner since Martha Stewart sticks to her principles and waits to see what comes next.
It is too bad that this story has been downplayed and removed from the front pages of the MSM in recent weeks.
This story is integral to the Bush administration's pattern of deception and the weaving of a fabric of lies, dis/mis-information. It is also central in regard to the media whitewashers' complicity, an inadequacy of attention to Bush administration culpability in the manufacture of an imperialistic war of aggression.
Bush Adminstration lies need to be held to the harsh light of the noon day sun. The Bush Administration et al. must be held accountable to the sharp razor of justice. Only the impeachment and criminal trial of those officials complicit in enabling the foreign corporate take-over of the formerly sovereign Iraq will absolve America and Britain from the disaster of this war.
Keep J. Miller in prison for as long as it takes. She deserves nothing else more than a thorough lesson in humility in the prison laundry service.
