Judith Miller's Lawyer Floyd Abrams admitted that her source,
I. Lewis Libby, Vice President Dick Cheney's chief of staff, had given her previous permission to testify to the grand jury on the possible unlawful discloser of a CIA agent, but other factors had led her to conclude that he did not want her to testify.
That's very intuitive of her. Just think how she could have helped us if she had become intuitive a little sooner. You know, like before she let the Bush White House blow smoke up her ass about WMDs in Iraq. And which she passed on to us verbatim. Those stories had many more holes and conflicting elements than the situation surrounding Mr. Libby's waiver of confidentiality. Yet, she never noticed anything suspect with the WMDs. As Bill Maher would say, New Rule: If you are a gullible moron when it hurts the entire country, then you must maintain that gullibility when it affects your own life.
