Much of America will be watching TV tonight, canceling plans to go away for the long weekend. Guilt. Gas. Emotional trauma from the past week.
This may be the only chance we have to be heard. The Republican noise machine is gearing up.

There are some things that need to be said and truths that need to be told. We are behind you 100%. Just speak the truth.

Tell them that this has emboldened the enemy. They see our weakness and it is HUGE.
The National Guard did not receive orders to assist, these orders come from the president. WHY DID THOSE ORDERS NEVER ARRIVE?
Ask why the response to Terry Schiavo, ONE WHITE WOMAN was so quick compared to the desperate, televised plight of thousands of poor blacks.
What is happening with the bodies? Are there going to be mass graves?
What did the president know and when did he know it?
Ask Where Was the CEO president? Where was the leadership? Why the awful/fake photo ops? A True leader would have addressed the nation, made sure EVERYTHING was being done to evacuate the helpless..then perhaps you can get some photo ops. but not during and NOT before. The levee is not being rebuilt. The "aid stations" were fake.
Does a true leader laugh about drinking in Texas at a time of Crisis? When tens of thousands of poor people have lost EVERYTHING, does a sensitive, in-touch-with-the-public leader say that a fellow Republicans house will get rebuilt and that he looks forward to sitting on the porch?
Does a true leader appoint someone utterly unqualified for position that controls the repsonse to a national emergency? Then when that person fails miserably, praise him for a job well done?
Do not let them blame the mayor, nor the governor.
Where does the buck stop?
Why did foreign aid, offered before the crisis became critical, get refused, repeatedly?
Why was he playing guitar and eating cake while people were dying?
How could the head of FEMA not be aware of the thousands of desperate people at the Superdome? It was ALL OVER THE NEWS for days!
Where was/is Dick Cheney?
Why was Condi shopping for shoes while her "hometown" was drowning and dying?
Why the presidential flyovers, grounding the few helicopters that were in the air? Can't he just watch it on the news?
They will turn it on Nagin. Don't let them. He was a mayor in a destroyed town, with no phones or communication. The communications he did get out were pleads for help. Why no response?
People don't evacuate when they are told. This is old news. It happens ALL THE TIME. They are poor, they don't have any place to go or the means to get there if they did.
There was a category 5 hurricane, with several days notice, don't let them say they had no idea.
The Levee problem is WELL DOCUMENTED. Just look around this site. Don't let them say they could never have foreseen it.
Please. Do your homework and do not let them spin this in any direction other than the lap of George W Bush.
