Got me fired up enough to write. This is the mantra of losing lefties. This is why peace-loving, good people are always in the majority, yet find themselves overwhelmed.
Peace is not inactive. Peace is not the absence of war. Peace is an active and vital force. Peace is not good people standing down, but good people standing up.
They, (and I use the term "they" not to refer to anybody in particular), know their strategy. They cannot defeat the majority of people who believe in fairness, justice, and like-mindedness, so they search for weaknesses in our lines and they plow through it whenever there's any give.
Our strategy must be to continually hold the lines everywhere we can. Every time they push, we must push back. We outnumber them, so we cannot be defeated by anybody but ourselves.
When the writer says "The Democratic establishment was largely unaware of the right-wing thought machine", it's true. It's also true that the right-wing now is largely unaware of the left-wing thought machine. They do not care about what we think or what we do. We could FedEx them a daily summary of our thoughts and ideas, and they would ignore it, because we do not pose a threat to them.
The Democratic leadership back in the day could have paid attention to what the Republican underground was doing back in the day, but they didn't. Not because Republicans were secretive, but because Democrats were too drunk on power to notice.
Today, when Republicans are clearly drunk on their own power, we should not be censoring our ideas and limiting their spread to other people. We should be spreading our ideas to everybody who will listen. It doesn't matter if we have the element of surprise, because our strategy is foolproof. If good people stand up for what is right, we cannot lose.
