"Ah, So we should spend billions of taxpayer dollars there so we don't have to spend it here."
The other one I was think of is involved the "War on Christmas" exchange between Rightwing Culture and Family Institute and Air America's Sam Seder.
To recap, Sam Seder had a satirical take on TheoCon's "War on Christmas" that had CNN's Krya Phillips in stitches, and pretty much demolished TheoCon Bob Knight's position through mockery. But at the end of the "debate", Mr. Knight trots out the "Nazi's banned Christmas" too argument.
Nevermind that such as assertation is historically inaccuarte, I think the quick snappy comeback at that point should have been:
"Well, Mr. Knight, it's interesting that you brought up the Nazi's, because like Hitler, your organization is looking for nothing less than the destruction of gays through the abridgement of their basic human rights."
Short, snappy, and pins the Nazi hat right back on to them. Sure it's a descent into Godwin's abyss, but I see it as proportional response.
