Sorry if this was posted, I will delete if so. SUSA has its
poll out for January.
-5 of the top of ten governors are Dems, and 9 of the top 15. Joe Manchin, the West Virginian Democrat, stands at #1 overall, the first time a Democrat has scored #1 in a SUSA governors' poll.
Presidential contender and outgoing Virignia governor Mark Warner comes in at a nice 72-22, the second highest rated Democrat.
-6 of the bottom ten governor are Republicans, including the bottom 5(Arnold stil lsucks ,coming in at 34-62).
- The Democratic governor elected last November seem to be doing quite well. John Lynch(NH), Brian Schweitzer, and Manchin all have approvals in the top ten. And Christine Greogore comes in at a decent 47-46. Not badd given all the drama by the GOP over her win. Hopefully, she can break through the 50s, and beat Rossi in 08.
-The GOP governors electe last year, dont fair as wel in their first year it seems. Matt Blunt and Mitch Daniels are struggling. Unfortunately, it wont be until 2008 that we face them, so things could change.
Democrats to be worried about:
Jim Doyle(WI): 46-45.
Jennifer Granholm(MI): 44-53(Her approval always seems to suck in SUSA, but be higher in other polls like EPIC-MRA).
Rod Blaogjevich(IL): 42-53(He has a ton of cash, but Dems dont seem to like him, and he will have a tough fight against Republican Judy Topinka).
Ted Kulongoski(OR): 42-48. No primary challenge from former Governor Kitzhaber, and could face his 02 opponent again.
John Baldacci(ME):38-55. Dont know who the GOP is putting up. Unless Snowe or Collins ran, I think Baldacci will be okay.
