There Is a Time for Politics, and a Time For Truth
During election time partisan politics can become ugly and messy, throwing out the truth for the momentary sensational story. But with the recent revelations of former Congressman Mark Foley, it is clear that the time for truth is now. It's time for the Republican leadership to come clean.
Candidate Bill Morrison (D) is currently campaigning in Tennessee's 7th District against Marsha Blackburn, the assistant Majority Whip and Co-Chairman of the Republican National Congressional Committee, a position she shares with Congressman Tom Reynolds. As a congresswoman with such leadership credentials, it begs the question, how much and for how long did Marsha know about Rep. Foley's issues?
Are we to assume that her co-chairman, Rep. Reynolds, and his staff kept such vital and damaging information out of Marsha's hands? Are we to believe that the Majority Whip, Rep. Roy Blunt, never shared these findings with his assistants? Is it possible that the Speaker of the House, Rep. Dennis Hastert, never contacted his RNCC Chairs when told about this issue months ago?
And what are the answers to these questions? So far there's nothing coming out of Washington.
"I invite everyone to ask these questions of our current representative. We can not let her hide out and act like this is not an issue. Where does she stand? Why does she not speak out against the leadership? This is bigger then any election. I am a school teacher and a father. Enough of the politics! Ms Blackburn may not want to debate me but she had better answer me as a person who lives in this district. Will she stand up for our children or stand up for this cover up?" - Bill Morrison
It's time to ask Marsha, what's she really all about in Washington? Take a moment, pick an office, and ask Marsha what she's really all about.
