You can volunteer to help Dems win back Congress, RIGHT NOW, THIS VERY MINUTE, from the comfort of your own home.

NO phone calling required, just ability with Excel spreadsheets OR with perl or another text processing language.

If you can't do either, please recommend this diary; once I have enough volunteers, I'll delete it.

This is an important project, but please don't neglect other volunteering you've committed to doing, to do this.

What you do need:

• An email account

• Microsoft Excel or OpenOffice, and the ability to edit excel spreadsheets.
• Willingness to make some judgment calls
• Helpful but not required: ability to record and run Excel macros

Or:

• Knowledge of perl or another text-processing language, ability to write short custom programs.

I'll supply you with a file to edit, and instructions on how to edit it.

Then you'll email it back to me.

Simple, mostly easy, most files should take only about an hour to process. A few may take longer.
