Not being a homosexual wanna-be escort who lies about his military history I find I don't have the casual, unfettered access to the White House press briefings I'd like.
But seriously, is there anyone in the White House press corps who might take question suggestions via email? Is there any other way to get questions into the briefing that I might not be aware of?
My question ideas forthcoming...
Since the White House has refused to answer ANY questions even vaguely related to Plamegate/Libby/Rove etc. under the "on-going investigation" banner why not take a different path that falls outside the investigation.
1) Scott, after it was reported that leaks of classified materials may have come from White House officials was an internal security review ever conducted?
1a) If not, why not? Isn't it required by law?
1b) What was the conclusion? Did no one violate their security clearance regulations by either passing classified information needlessly between parties or by passing or confirming classified information to reporters nto cleared to have it?
[By even confirming a reporters question "Yeah, I heard that too" Rove probably violated security clearance regulations.]
2a) How can White House justify NOT investigating reports of security leaks within its own ranks?
2b) Was anyone's security clearance suspended for any period of time for the investigations? If so whose and for how long?
3a) How lax is security in the White House? And is this disregard for security in any way related to the spy found to be operating undetected, possibly for years, collecting information for foreign agents?
3b) How can Americans feel safe in a time of war if the White House refuses to investigate leaks about covert CIA agents working on WMDs in the very region where we are at war?
We all know the answers to these questions but I'd like to see Scotty get his little strained robotic smile on while he tries to not answer them. Technically these questions are NOT about the on-going investigation but are instead about an investigation that should have happened years ago - but appears to not have.
