Jeff Trandahl, the openly-gay former Clerk of the House who is at the center of this scandal, refuses to explain his role in the Foley coverup.
Trandahl is a director of the Human Rights Campaign. http://www.hrc.org/...
HRC has consistently condemned the handling of the Foley matter -- issuing a number of press releases.... http://www.hrc.org/...
none of which, of course, mention Trandahl and his role in the scandal.
Isn't it about time that that HRC require Trandahl to explain his role publicly, or throw him off the board of the HRC. That organization should not be associated with people who are enablers of sexual predators like Mark Foley -- and unless Trandahl comes clean immediately, HRC should dump him unceremoniously.
(it should also be noted that HRC has endorsed Lieberman... Thus, the fact that someone like Trandahl remains on their board more than a week after his involvement was disclosed is consistent with the perception that HRC is less an organization that advances gay rights than it is a way for a bunch of Washington hacks to siphon money off of the community to protect their lifestyles)
(edited to fix the wrong foley first name --see first comment)
