....And they came by last night to enjoy the Halloween festivites (they're both Democrats BTW). They have been working their asses off for the last few weeks, driving state to state, and all over Texas, calibrating their machines - which apparently have a brand NEW protocol, that if you don't go out back out a particular menu screen after you calibrate, the calibration does not take.
They could not speak to any of the other vendor's problems, only to say, that their machines, at least in Texas and the other regions that they work, will all be calibrated by the end of today, and that ALL of their machines used in early voting, have been properly calibrated, but that people should not hesitate to speak up, and loudly, if they have a problem with their votes registering incorrectly. As far as they were concerned, the machines that they had delivered were calibrated properly when they left them.
Which gave a thought. What if some poll worker had decided to calibrate the machine, not knowing it had already been done properly, and not knowing the new protocol? Would this not lead to some of the other problems? Any closeted Diebold employees out there? Do those machines have brand new calibration protocols as well?
