The Detroit Free Press had a very good article on the fighting dems here in Michigan in house races and their lack of support from the DCCC in this campaign cycle.

There are three really good candidates in Tony Trupiano, Jim Marcinkowski and Nancy Skinner in the Detroit suburbs and Sharon Reiner in Ann Arbor and areas west. These areas have been trending blue for a while now, especially in the district represented by the old rubberstamp called Joe Knollenberg who is facing Nancy Skinner. Marcinkowski use to be a Republican (gee this sounds familar) and could have been a Jim Webb like candidate to send to congress in a fairly conservative district. I am not sure how the DCCC determines to push certain candidates, but I feel we missed out on a golden opportunity here. Unfortunately, the GOP delegation may have went further right with the inclusion of the Wingnut Tim Walberg

Michigan has been a reliable "blue state" for the past 20 years for national elections, yet still sends a 9-6 delegation to congress. There is no democratic representation in the westside of the state period. Anything is possible, espcially given what has happen in WY, ID, MT, CO and NE this election cycle.
Update: I changed the title to the current title, I was mistaken on how each organization works. Thanks to all.
