Since the election and our big win, we have all been brimming with pride. Not just for the new Congressmen and Senators, but for the fact that our country's system
works when the people are involved in it.
Therefore, I dedicate this week's WAYWO to our country, and also to those who serve it. Let's take back the flag!
Our flag has gone through many incarnations. As our country has changed, our flag has changed, and with good reason. Our country grew by leaps and bounds, and as each new territory became a state (or several states), it was necessary to add representation to the most visible symbol of the United States.
From the flag of the thirteen colonies
To our current flag
The permutations are endless! And what Americans do with our flag ...
Balloonworks! has made an American flag that floats, rather than flies.
For some fun family crafts, US flag-themed, try this link at About.com, DTLK.com, or make this American Flag Tote Bag from HGTV.com.

Remember, if you want to join the Yahoo! WAYWO group, fo here: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/waywo/, and you will receive email when WAYWO posts. This is not a high-volume email group at this point. Ideas are always welcome, and the Yahoo! WAYWO group is the best place to throw out those ideas, or volunteer to guest-host WAYWO!
Now, sit back and relax, and tell us all about it - what are you working on this week? Catching up on your rest, or catching up on your projects?
