For those of you who watched HBO's
Hacking Democracy last night, I know you were as shaken by it's presentation of the story of corruption, incompetence and racism as I was. Whether you've been following the story of Bev and BlackBoxVoting for years, or were only passingly familiar with the problems of the last two major elections, this documentary will crystalize the disgusting perversion of our democracy in a way that will shake you to the core.
I would like to suggest to the community that we start a campaign to contact the appropriate people on HBO and ask them to post the entire documentary on YouTube so that everyone can easily see and share this tragedy with as many people as possible.
Now I've never done anything like this before. I'm primarily a lurker and not too experienced with this sort of call-to-action stuff. Here's what I've got so far. I'm going to write an e-mail to Chris Albrecht (HBO's CEO), and anyone else I can think of on their contact page. Basically asking them to publish or allow us to publish this documentary on YouTube, MySpace, everywhere possible.
I believe that this could only help HBO's business. Because of this documentary, HBO can continue to rely on my subscription for years to come. If I had not been a subscriber prior to watching this documentary last night, I would be by the end of today.
Hopefully some clips of it will be popping up soon on YouTube, so keep an eye out for them and be sure to rate high and recommend.
