I have been watching the TN weather forecasts all week, pinning a map of Knoxville and Chattanooga on my wall and doing a rain dance. Maybe it's paying off.(Maybe Pastordan can help with a weather prayer group).
Right now a front is headed into Memphis with rain. It will pass through Memphis into middle TN in the night and hit East Tennessee on election day.
Forecasts for election day from Weather.com:
MEMPHIS:
At 7AM 56 degrees, and a 60% chance of showers, falling to 50% 9AM to Noon, and 30% from Noon to 7PM.
NASHVILLE:
At 7AM 56 degrees, and an 80% chance of rain till 9AM, falling to 70% till 2PM, and dropping steadily to 30% chance from 5PM to 7PM.
CHATTANOOGA:
At 7AM 53 degrees, and a 70% chance of rain through 5PM, then falling to a 60% chance through 7PM.
KNOXVILLE:
At 7AM 53 degrees, and a 70% chance of rain through 6PM, falling to a 60% chance through 7PM.
So The Democratic vote in Memphis will have light showers as voting starts, dropping off rapidly. Middle TN around Nashville (a battleground area), will have rain early dropping off for late voting.
East Tennessee (heavily Republican) will have rain all day.
Let's hope this forecast holds.
