Murtha took a stand for the military when it was still unpopular to advocate a complete withdrawal. I hope kossacks will take a stand for him and support Mr. Murtha for Speaker of the House.
I know a lot of you think I'm counting my chickens before they hatch, or some such thing. But it looks promising, and even if it isn't, this has been giving me an itch for a long time.
Murtha galvanized this movement. He lended credibility, authority, and most importantly, bulldog determination, to the anti-Iraq war movement.
I really hope people in their jubilation won't forget Murtha, and I sincerely hope they'll consider honoring him with a long overdue reward: the position of Speaker of the House.
