As we close 2006 and look forward to next year and the 2008 presidential election cycle, let's not forget so quickly Howard Dean's 50-state Strategy as we set our sights on the next national election in 2008.
I have personally identified my No. 1 Target in the US Senate:
one absolutely vile Lindsey Graham.
Got Vote?
He was a co-sponsor of the ill-fated "Terrorist Surveillance Act of 2006" which sought to make LEGAL the administration's blatant domestic spying operation (details @ www.billorightsman.com). This bill was co-sponsored by Hagel, Snowe & ousted DeWine, but the Cretin of the Bunch is Lindsey Graham. He's one of those rabid repukes that makes my skin crawl just seeing him on c-span with his smarmy, snarky, holier-than-thou smirk. Graham was also a very vocal supporter of Bill Clinton's impeachment proceedings when he was a member of the US House. And he succeeded one Strom Thurmond. Graham's WIKI entry deadpans "Graham votes as a conservative roughly 90 percent of the time, roughly the same as Strom Thurmond's record, yet he often manages to appear independent, especially in comparison to Jim DeMint, the junior senator from South Carolina." (We'll knock off DeMint in 2010.)
Make no mistake, Lindsey Graham is a First-Class Crusader and will be a vocal minority voice in the Senate Committee on Armed Services - Subcommittee on Emerging Threats and Capabilities, Senate Committee on the Judiciary, Subcommittee on Technology Terrorism and Homeland Security and the Senate Committee on Veterans' Affairs.
Of course, this one post, on one blog, in the entirety that is "the internets" may not amount to a hill of beans.
But I, BillORightsMan , throw down the gauntlet:
OUST LINDSEY GRAHAM FROM THE US SENATE IN 2008!
