I will avoid discussing Hillary on the issues suffice it to say I don't see a lot of daylight, as Rumsfeld would say, between her and Joe Lieberman. However, there are many reasons without even talking about issue positions on which Hillary can't win.
Since the dinosaur media often focuses on these aspects of presidential candidates more than actual issues of the candidates themselves, will the main stream media put the same microscope on their favorite dem Hillary Rodham Clinton? Remember how the media told us Kerry was "electable" certainly they will look at Hillary's numbers and tell us she is "unelectable" in a general election, no?
In every poll I've seen Hillary has a very big problem that can be looked at objectively. Everyone knows her, very low no-opinion numbers, and a horrific number of the likely voters will never vote for her.

In most recent surveys she can't beat John McCain either.

I had to laugh when I read the NY Times fluff piece saying she would increase her base,
She also polls incredibly bad for a female candidate president. Many find her cold and her slamming of stay at home moms with "I don't bake cookies" and "I'm no Tammy Wynette" is not a good sign for a female candidate. Dems traditionally do better with women anyway.

Hillary doesn't show up until ninth place, after Joe Lieberman and John Edwards. What's striking is that with the exception of women, who rate them about the same, voters in every other group like Hillary by a margin of six to nine points less than her husband, whether you're talking about men 36 to 27, white Protestants 41 to 35, white Catholics 33 to 27 or white born-again Christians 46 to 38; these are the percentages that put her in the very lowest category.
What's wrong? How did Hillary come to be hated so much more than her husband when her greatest sin, in most people's eyes, was standing by him?
........
Looking at the numbers: name recognition, likeability, and undecideds none look good. Importantly,
Hillary has the potential nationwide to have the same affect in Connecticut that Joe Lieberman did. Hillary will unite republicans and turn out conservatives in every state in the Union - even states that aren't competitive and really jeopardize house and senate seats.
Hillary essentially will be the 50-state strategy for the GOP.
