In most states, and I betcha Texas is one of them, anytime a person is injured in a firearm accident, a police report must be filed. This just makes sense. How many shootings would be "accidental" if the incident did not have to be reported. In NC, the hospital or doctor treating a gunshot victim would must be certain there is a police incident report. Where is the report on this accident? Has it been made public?
Since the hunting trip was not part of his official duties, he was acting in the role of a normal citizen. Granted, he has a gazillion feds traveling with him, but, does that excuse the requirement to call in the local fuzz? If not, why are we not hearing from the local sheriff or police chief? Was Mr. Whittington wisked off to the hospital with "minor" wounds before the locals arrived (or were even notified)? Has the local law even yet examined the scene or interviewed the witnesses? If I were the local police, I would assume every shooting inciident is suspicious until after I had conducted an investigation.
I know, a lot of people will claim the feds with the VP are actually law enforcement people themselves. Am I off base here? Is the Vice President, as well as the President, immune from the law during a time of war?
