The Sacramento Bee
interviewed Rep. John Doolittle (NeoCon-Roseville)from California's 4th District. As you may recall, Doolittle is one of four Repugs rumored to be under
investigation in the Abramoff corruption scandal. To his credit, Doolittle admits his friendship and admiration for Abramoff and DeLay, and claims that no one would ever suspect that Wilkes and Cunningham were corrupt (I dunno, I think the Rolls in the House parking lot is a big tip off...).

Doolittle got on my short list back when I was an Independant because he basically was holding Sacramento hostage so that he could ram through legislation that would "protect" us by damming the American River up at Auburn. This would destroy many white-water rafting, trail riding, and other outdoor adventure small businesspeople -- aside from destroying the American River Canyon. It was a scheme that was intended to bring millions to his foothills district, and most of the folks in Sacramento were against it and favored strengthening the Folsom Dam and the levee system, and studying alternatives that would allow the salmon migration to continue and would lessen erosion. But Doolittle refused to cooperate on
any legislation other than the multi-million dollar dam project.
It's folks like Doolittle that opened my eyes to the abuses of power and taxpayer money that the NeoCons were engaging in, and their absolutely stunning arrogance and bullying.
Thank GOD the good people of Cal 04 have
Lisa Rea and Fighting Dem
Lieutenant Colonel Charles Brown to turn to! And since my boyfriend and I are moving up to the 4th District, that will be 2 more votes for whoever wins the primary. I'm leaning towards Brown, because my son is getting ready to visit Afghanistan -- he's already toured Sadr City, Iraq. I want someone in Congress who understands what kind of hell our military is going through under these chickenhawks.
