Wayne Brady has a new show on TVLand called
That's What I'm Talking About I caught the premiere episode last night. The panelists included: Harry Belafonte; Diahann Carroll; Paul Mooney and Touré to discuss Black films, television shows, and pop culture. From what I can see over at the website it's only scheduled for 3 episodes in honor of Black History Month.
Fitting that February, the shortest and coldest month of the year, is dedicated to throwing the spotlight on black Americans in this country. What's it called? "Black Misery Month"? Sorry I don't want this diary to a snarkfest, it was a very good show and I'd just like interested parties to tune in next week or hit the website and peak interest. Maybe TVLand will release a DVD.
Every one knows Belafonte and the unbelievably beautiful Ms. Carroll, I swear she doesn't look a day over 40. But anyone watch
Chappelle's Show? Paul Mooney is featured on both series 1 and 2 for "Negrodamus", the black Nostradamus, and "Ask a Black Man". It was some of the best stuff from Dave ever, and that includes the "Black Bush" sketches he did at the end of season 2.
Chappelle's Show is must see TV and you can rent the DVD most anywhere.
