After being asked by my sister and a few friends why I never called them back, I realized that something must be wrong with my phone. So, about 3 weeks ago I called Cingular and asked if they could tell me what was going wrong. After spending about 1.5 hours on the phone with a technician, I was told that there was nothing wrong with the "Cingular network" and that the messages were never left.
Well, my problem persisted so I called again yesterday with the same complaint and received quite a different response!
I was told that "We have been receiving tons of calls about this and we have a technician working on it right now."
Isn't this something that Cingular should be notifying it's customers about? I am a lowly, unemployed student...but, some people could face serious problems if they are not receiving messages from their boss, clients, etc. and we can all face serious problems of a different kind when we don't receive messages from--and hence don't call back--our loved ones and significant others!
I'm upset that Cingular knows that people aren't receiving their voicemails, and, while working on the problem, has not notified its large base of customers. Typical, though really.
We deserve to know, and, this is why I'm telling you here!
