The Wall Street Journal has published some kind of measurements which indicate a majority sentiment that President Bush is bad.

No surprise there.
But the same study says Congress is even worse than Bush.
Wow! Does America really disappprove of Congress more than President Bush? Is that even possible?
By these numbers, President Bush actually looks good compared to Congress.
According to WSJ,
64% of all adults have a negative opinion of Bush.
68% have a negative opinion of Republican Congressmen
70% have a negative opinion of Democratic Congressmen
"All adults" is a highly suspicious term. Let's assume it's just the readers of the WSJ they are really talking about.
And this presidency will go down in history as one of the worst ever, if these polls are correct.
What does that say about Congress, which is doing even worse??
Is Congress doomed?
Will such strong anti-congress sentiment simply play into the hands of increasing the president's power even further?
Can you imagine a population that wants even MORE power for the Chief Executive and less for the Congress, that what we already see today?
This is hard to imagine. But there it is: The public seems to want even more power for the chief executive, at the expense of congress.
How can this be?
Unilateral President indeed.
And I'm talking about the next president, not Bush.
