Here's the first reminder diary about the meetup set for this coming Wednesday, the 22nd. Here's the
diary it was first announced in. (It was the "Welcome to the Big Apple" diary and you should read it just for the tips on restaurants and off-the-beaten-path tourist spots.)
Here are the basic details:
Yaffa's Tea Room*
353 Greenwich Street (at Harrison)
Take the 1 or 9 to Franklin or the 2 or 3 to Chambers.
March 22 (solstice!)
6:30 until whenever
*Please note: this is the Yaffa's in TriBeCa NOT the East Village.
Who is welcome? EVERYBODY! Rabble rousers, lurkers, liberals, centrists, your friends, you name it, we want all of you. It'll be great to see old faces and some new ones as well. I have a list of email addresses from past meetups, but if I don't have yours now and you want me to send any updates on this meetup or ones in the future, please email me at janeknowles@gmail.com.

Now as some of you may already know, this is shaping up to be a blockbuster of a New York Kossak meetup. We've received better than quasi-confirmations from Armando, Jeffrey Feldman of
Frame Shop fame and a
third Kossak, who, while a minor player here, is a sentimental favorite (sorry folks, it's not Meteor).
Speaking of the sentimental favorite, he's got a book tour coming up and here are the dates. The New York City visit is scheduled for May 15 and 16. I hope we can organize another meetup around that event as well as AdvisorJim's New York book tour date, which I think takes place in April (someone please advise).
Oh! And the other thing is, Yaffa, who normally has a special cous-cous night on Thursdays, has said that this week, thanks to her friend and Kossak great JBilger, she's going to ALSO make cous-cous for our meetup. How fucking cool is that??
Hope to see you all on Wednesday!
