Last week a diary by DarkSyde entitled Are You Mad Enough Yet
http://www.dailykos.com/...
prompted me to offer the possibility of a regular diary on local organizing. Lots of folks on Kos are involved in their local Dem party and lots apparently are not. Some think it's a waste of time. Hardly.
Local organizing is where it is. Howard Dean said it, Teddy Roosevelt, Ralph Reed, Karl Rove, Gene McCarthy. Get it together. Winning is what we want. Here's how:
Be it getting a doormat (dormant) local committee going, to how to fundraise, run a phone bank, canvas, Voter ID, GOTV, candidate recruitment, media, you name it, it's all part of local organizing. It's about winning.
I'm not the only person on here who knows how to do the nuts n bolts. I'm willing to do a diary a month and invite others to join me. If you've done successful local organizing, in a county, in a town, recruited candidates, managed campaigns, been a candidate, a Dem county officer, etc. write me and we'll work out subject and schedule.
If you want to learn more about being effective, efficient, and above all successful, take the poll.
