The Peace Positive Dove is about to become The Peace Positive Dove 2.0. You get to help with the redesign.
As many of you know, my wife Lori and I created the Peace Dove car magnet and a whole flock of them are now flying around the country spreading a positive message of peace. We have also been able to donate hundreds of dollars to charities that support peace.
Happily, enough people have ordered our doves that we are running out and about to place another order with our magnet suppliers in North Carolina. But before we reorder, we want to make sure we are putting the best message possible on the Dove's ribbon. That's where you come in.
The current design is pictured above. We love it, but are considering moving the "BRING THEM HOME" to the front layer of the banner. We can't just switch "SUPPORT OUR TROOPS" to the secondary divided layer because it is too many characters. So we need your help figuring out what to put on the divided section on the banner. Remember, the message on the divided ribbon needs to be pretty short.
Below you'll see what we've come up with as far as options (the "#" indicates where the second banner message would be broken up by the overlaying "Bring Them Home"). Keep in mind that we want the message to continue to show support for the men and women who are in harm's way, be positive and resonate with as many people as possible, including Republicans.
Bring them home! Support#troops
Bring them home! Support#peace
Bring them home! Peace#now
Bring them home! Time for#peace
Bring them home! End the war#now
Bring them home! Safely and#swiftly
You can either give us your preference with a comment or just use the poll below. Thanks for your time and input!
Peace,
Mike and Lori
UPDATE: Well, even though the diary was only on the front page for a short while, keeping the original design as is has won by a landslide. Thanks to everyone who took the time to weigh in on the subject. The only change we'll be doing is to make the white lines on either side of the front ribbon a little thicker for better clarity. But the message shall remain the same.
