High school students are teaching us about fighting for our rights. Won't you join them?
Students are walking out of classes and protesting the virulantly racist immigration "reform" bill passed by the House, which would build 700 miles of walls along the US-Mexican border, create a criminal class of 12 million immigrants, and threaten relatives, priests, social workers, medical providers, and anyone else providing assistance to undocumented immigrants, with jail. Already students in
Houston have been arrested for demonstrating against this abomination of a proposed law. High school students in Dallas, El Paso, Austin and
San Antonio have walked out in protest as well.
Who are these undocumented immigrants that we're fighting for, anyway? Well you might be surprised.
These kids are showing us the way to make a difference. Talk is cheap. This is the new generation of activists on display.
There will be a Latino National Boycott on April 10th, organized to protest US immigration policy, and the pending racist initiatives. I am closing my office on that day and not coming to work. I also won't buy anything. My door will have a sign that says I WON'T BUY OR WORK TODAY-Latino National boycott. Won't you join us?
