Okay, all you blathering righty talking heads out there who are now attempting to muddy the Dubai and port safety waters even further by playing the "race" card.
First of all, even hinting that objections to the deal are racially motivated is absurd, especially if you're trying to pin it on a Democrat. Get real. Though we've had our share of cultural rivalries while building this nation, this nation was in fact built by hands of many colors, religions, and ethnic backgrounds. Last time I checked, it was the Twin Towers that were destroyed, not Lady Liberty.
The race card is a lie, a manipulation, and it is wrong. Period. Do you raise your children this way?
There are key differences between allowing a state-owned company from an area of the world that has been in and out of conflict for thousands of years, having known ties to the hijackers who murdered thousands of Americans just a few years ago, and a privately owned British company we settled our differences with hundreds of years ago. The Brits have also proven to us, OPENLY and over time, that they are indeed our ally. If it is true the Saudi's share this trait, then why is it all such a damn secret? RED FLAG!
Second, the news that our ports were run by foreign companies at all has just come into light. I find that very interesting, but not surprising since the Bushies like to keep us in the dark... that is, unless they can use the information to mess with our heads and our lives, and further their own secret agenda.
Perhaps we would have raised objections before if we had known, but we didn't. Perhaps there is a reason it is all coming out now.
Third, you continue to support and spread the garbage being spewed forth by an administration who retained power based on a claim that they would make us safer. They have not. In fact, they have made us weaker. It would be stupid of us now that we know about the Dubai deal, not to demand measures that should have been in place after 9/11, if not sooner.
I could go on about all of this administration's secret shady deals, corruption, self-serving greed, arrogance, and downright ineptitude, but it would take days.
Enough! You should be ashamed of yourselves. It is a choice to do what is right, or not to. In my opinion, you've chosen poorly. Just remember, what goes around, comes around.
In the meantime, since you are unable to tell the truth, or behave in a respectable adult manner, you are in time out! Go to your room and don't come out until you've thought about all of the things you've done, all of the hurt you've caused, and are ready to apologize and start telling the truth.
