As you all know, tommorow is Primary Day in Texas. As we look forward to see Tom DeLay sweat out a primary win and for Henry Cuellar to get a one-way ticket back to Laredo, we should also be watching the US Senate primary race. Here, Barbara Ann Radnofsky is likely to win the party's nomination - and she's invited you all to attend her victory party!
What's that, you say? I can't afford to fly to Texas for tommorow! Don't worry, fellow Kossacks - Barbara Ann is throwing an online victory party as well, with the first ever Texas Primary Webcast. The actual (live) party will start at 7PM EST at Maria Selma's Restaurant, 1619 Richmond in Houston. But starting at 9PM EST (when the polls close), the primary party will be able to be seen live in front of your computer at http://www.radnofsky.com
In addition, you can e-mail questions to a delightful young lady named Katie Floyd, aka one of Barbara Ann's staff. I met her in DC this fall at one of Barbara Ann's fundraisers, and she'll be more than happy to relay any questions you may have about Barbara Ann, Kay Bailey "Cry Baby" Hutchison (the incumbent) and the campaign itself. On the webcast itself, the candidate will answer your questions and make you a part of her victory night - a night that will see the first Democratic woman since Ann Richards in 1990 to be nominated for statewide office. You can contact Katie at Katie.floyd@radnofsky.com , and let her know what YOU want to know about turning Texas Blue in 2006.
See you there! (I'll be online, btw - no plane flight for this high school kid!)
