This is as much a question as a diary. I saw an article saying as much in the New York
Post.
Yeah, yeah, I know what you are thinking- that's just the New York Post, why are you even reading it? But, this appeared in the Entertainment section, which, to my experience, isn't as nakedly political as other sections of the paper.
But, I stayed a little skeptical, and looked for a diary here that could set me straight. But none appeared (BTW- if there is such a diary and I just couldn't find it, I will happily delete this one).
So, having waited a day, I turned to a Google search to see what I can find.
And, there are some other stories out there- but, some are obvious right wing sites (like Michelle Malkin's), and the others I have no idea as to their credibility.
I also came upon an older story (from about a month ago) saying that WLIB (the NY affiliate) was doing well in the ratings, which goes to show you something, although I know not what.
I am somewhat limited in my ability to do internet research, so maybe there is more out there. Anyone with any insight or knowledge? I am not the station's biggest fan, but it's a nice alternative (I will sometimes flip between WABC and WLIB and arrive home having no idea what is happening in the world- if the damn Knicks were better I could just listen to them and remain equally uneducated but better entertained). Beyond that, there are some ramifications for the progressive movement if Air America goes dark in New York.
