In a few hours, a little robin living in Toledo, Ohio will peek his head out from under his wing, chirrup, and fly off to a tree to see his mate and maybe help feed his little babies.
A squirrel living in a hole near Lubbock, Texas will wake up, and groggily go out in search of a tasty nut.
A hive of twenty thousand bees in Gainesville, North Carolina will wake up and start producing honey to feed its young and keep the queen alive. Drones will fly out everywhere in search of new food.
A hill filled with a million fire ants in Phoenix, Arizona will bustle with life as the little guys run around in search of food.
Two cats in an alley in Chicago, Illinois will make a terrible racket, and a few months later one will bring a few kittens into the world.
And one idiot in Washington, DC, will wake up and try to figure out how to destroy his political opponents.
The morning will come, and the morning will go, and life continues on, no matter what. That one idiot thinks he is the center of the world, but those fire ants will sting him, that squirrel will bite him, those bees will sting him, those cats will claw him, and they won't care if he's the president or a homeless person in the streets of New York City.
He's only as important and as influential as we as a society allow him to be.
