Kos, when he was on "The Cobert Report" a week or so ago used an absolutely brilliant line. It was a line so brilliant that kos was brilliant to use it even if someone else came up with it. VERY BRILLIANT. And we should all steal it. It went something like this:
"We've found the Republicans great at telling you when to die and when to be born, but not so much the stuff in between."
See, you don't have to explain it, you don't mention the word "abortion", you don't mention "Schiavo"... and yet, it's clear. Further, it frames the Republicans as on either side of you, restraining your domain from either side, caging us without any of the solutions that the time between birth and death actually require... and why? Well, it's clear why, because they don't care about that part, they don't care about "life" when it means the parts inbetween birth and death.
Further, while it says that the Republicans are "great" at something, it's clear that's merely granted for the sake of argument, that is, even granting they were right on the issues so important to them and their mantra as the self described pro-war "culture of life", the fact is, that leaves everything actually important to people out of the equation.
Don't ask for permission, steal this line.
