A group of concerned citizens is trying to convince Paul Hackett to still run for Congress in 2006. It's an uphill battle, so don't get your hopes up, but one of the arguments we're using is that he would find enormous support from the blogosphere.
It then occurred to me that rather than assuming he still has such support, maybe I should check to see if such support is actually still around. Therefore, I am asking all Kos community members to sound off in favor of or against the idea.
If Paul Hackett can run in a high profile 2006 race without breaking any promises he made to other candidates or otherwise compromising his principles, would you support him? Please take the poll and add any encouraging words to comments.
In reading the early comments, I need to add this: Do not concern yourself with whether running is still possible or legal. It is very much both. I am just looking to see if he still has support for a run.
To get as large a sample as possible, please remember to recommend this diary on your way out. Thanks.
