There are a lot of times that I read posts on Daily Kos and am inspired to do something, but often don't know what that 'something' should be. Well, I've decided to have the rubber meet the road...literally! This year I'm going to be riding in the Clean Air Challenge, a 120-mile cycling ride to support the
American Lung Association. It's a two-day ride through the beauty of Alaska, and it's all for promoting cleaner air by biking!
Join me on the other side for details on how you can help support this organization and my ride!
Of course, with gas prices so high, riding a bike makes a lot more sense, but it has other benefits as well. It's a great way to stay in shape, and it also reduces pollution that can create problems for people with asthma. This event supports an organization that works to make life easier for those managing their asthma, so please consider supporting it.
How can you do that you ask? You can support this organization as well as my riding efforts by going to my fundraising page. I have some offline donations that make my current total look lower than it actually is, and I really only need about $150 to meet my fundraising goal. If the first 30 people that see this give $5, I'm there! Please consider supporting my efforts to promote better breathing by biking!
